MOMMY & ME CLASSES
Beginning in January, the 8th
and Harrison
Church
if Christ will be offering two Mommy & Me classes.
This is a class for the young child and their caregiver to participate in
structured developmental activities. Your child will participate in cooking,
crafts, center stations, circle-time, story- time, simple science, and outdoor
playtime. While blossoming in our morning routine, your child will learn songs,
nursery rhymes, verses, cooking skills, and the beginnings of numbers and
letters. We will encourage healthy socialization and interactions among peers
through rewarding positive behavior, imitation, bible stories, and fairy tales.
As trained teachers, we will focus on your child’s fine and gross motor skills,
cognitive development, and temperament.
You are your child’s first teacher and
this is a great way for you to be involved in your child’s young life. Being
present in our Mommy & Me class allows you to observe your child’s
capabilities, learn new ways of interaction with your child, learn new
educational tools to use with your child, understand child development at a
preschool age, get away from the home routine, and spend quality time together.
Our Meeting Times
When:
Mondays or Wednesdays (the same curriculum
will be used both days) 9:00-11:30
am.
Beginning January 11th and ending May 26th.

Who: Ages birth-4 years of age. We will have an optional
nursery with experienced staff for children 0-12 months.
Cost: An initial $10 registration fee + $7 per class per first
child and $4 per class per addition child. We ask that you register for the
whole session, but you may pay monthly.
How
to register: Please call our church office or walk
in to register. First come, first serve.
Our
staff: Our class has been carefully designed and
approved by our qualified church school board. Christine P Vincent, M.Ed. who is trained and certified in early
childhood and elementary education, will facilitate the Mommy & Me class
along with Vicki Vasquez, who has
years of early childhood education knowledge and experience. The nursery will be well staffed with
practiced and trusted caregivers that will tend to your child with the utmost
care.
